Brazil Buying Guide
Brazil has been recognized as an investment hot spot and due to great mineral wealth and energy self sufficiency the global downturn has little effect on the countries progress.
The Country:
The largest land mass in South America with an extensive coast on the eastern Atlantic side.Not only does this country have the greatest area of Rain Forest in the world that pumps oxygen into the atmosphere and removes carbon dioxide but it now has vast oil and gas reserves that are about to be exploited, it is an emerging economy.
Iconic names like Rio, Copa, Sugar Loaf and Amazon attract tourism and investors. Brazil is closer than the Caribbean in term of flight time from the UK and with over 5600 miles of coastal fringes, so much sand offers many new beach fronted developments in exotic coastal locations.
The climate of Brazil is varied due to the country having nearly 38 degrees of longitude ranging from 4 degrees north to 33 degrees south so being equatorial and tropical but with such a wide range of longitude you can find the climate that suits you best; although snow might be hard to find!
Why not take in the odd game of footie and since Brazil has won The
World Cup more times than any other country and have such passion for
the game it should be compulsive viewing. In 2014 the FIFA World Cup

Purchase Procedure:
Registration with Brazil’s central bank is a pre requisite but freehold ownership is available.
Legal representation is vital and a Portuguese / English lawyer or a translator are vital especially if dealing with previously owned property.
Many new developments will have legal packages but you should have independent legal advice. Costs of purchase add about 6% to the purchase price for legal fees, stamp duty and registration agent’s fees. These are charged to vendors.
